The Company History

Rynex was founded to develop a new biodegradable, earth, and health friendly solvents. Rynex Technologies is an environmental technology company, which has researched and developed an alternative solution for Dry Cleaning Industry. Based upon the results of both extensive laboratory testing and field trials, together with independent research analysis, it has been determined that Rynex-3 is capable of replacing all known existing solvents currently used in the dry cleaning and scouring process without any of the environmental hazards related thereto. Apart from the environmental advantages there are economics, operational and technical benefits associated with the use of the solvent.

Research and Initial Tests

The research phase and initial field tests have been completed in both North America and Europe. Rynex-3 can be used in most existing hydrocarbon or alternative solvent machines. The cleaning capabilities are considered to be equal to, and in many cases, better than any existing dry cleaning solvent. Most of the other available textile solvents require specialized environmental treatment and disposal methods for toxic substances or as hazardous air pollutants.

Rynex Technologies is led by Chief Executive Officer Mark R. Grimaldi.

Grimaldi has an extensive management, research, and chemical manufacturing background. As President and CEO of Equinox Chemicals Grimaldi has built a chemical manufacturing and R&D company that is a leader in the Industry. Equinox Chemicals has recently been honored with such awards as "Manufacturer of the year", "SBA Exporter of the Year" and "Local economic Impact-City of Albany". These awards are a validation of the top team Grimaldi has assembled to lead Equinox Chemicals and Rynex Technologies in the industry. Equinox Chemicals is proud to add Rynex-3 to its extensive global portfolio of products. Equinox Chemicals brings a world class research and manufacturing team that is making Rynex-3 a leader in the green dry cleaning solvent technology.

The Global Rynex Management and Operations teams are led by Chief Operating Officer Yalda Harris.

Harris comes to Equinox Chemicals / Rynex Technologies with 12 years of experience at Procter & Gamble. Her experience at Procter & Gamble included Project Design and Engineering, Operations Management, Product Design, Launch, and Implementation, and Operations Financial Management. Harris received her Engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and MBA from the University of Florida. Her focus for Rynex Technologies is to provide the highest quality alternative dry cleaning solvent that brings value and superior cleaning capability to the dry cleaner while being the safest for the community and the environment.

The Rynex European Product Manager is Marty Brucato.

Brucato is a lifelong member of the clothing care industry and has extensive experience in all facets of plant operations. Educated at the American University of Paris and an American ex-pat for 17 years, Brucato has owned both “high-end” and high volume plants in the USA and abroad. An expert in alternative solvents, guest lecturer and consultant for the dry cleaning industry, he is now heading up the launch of Rynex-3 solvent to all of the 27 European countries from his Paris base. Brucato’s vast knowledge of European market alternative solvents, regulations and plant operations are now available to customers interested in or using Rynex-3.
