Rynex and Christeyns create a ‘powerful’ partnership

Rynex Technologies, LLC and Christeyns NV have formally announced the creation of a Joint Venture for the marketing, distribution, sales and support for the Rynex-3E dry cleaning solvent along with Christeyns’ Gentle Care Detergents line in the European market.
Rynex Technologies, based in Albany, Georgia is the manufacturer of a biodegradable alternative solvent and has been working with Christeyns, one of the world leaders in laundry technology, since October 2010. The partnership is developing a product line for Rynex-3E, as well as expanding Christeyns’ Gentle Care dry cleaning portfolio. New solutions include a pre-brushing agent, specialty spotting products, a water repellent, an anti-mite treatment and an additive to enhance the finish of textiles cleaned in Rynex-3E. This significantly expands Christeyns' already extensive line of soaps, detergents, bleaches and additives manufactured in Europe and exported worldwide.
“The joint venture will combine the power of Christeyns' expertise in developing premium laundry solutions, its large European presence with over 250 field technicians in more than 20 countries, and its extensive distribution network with Rynex's fully approved efficient, ecological and economical solvent and products”, says Christeyns’ CEO Alain Bostoen.
“We will also incorporate our Christeyns Academy training program in order to instill proper knowledge and implementation of the Rynex solvent and Gentle Care Detergents, and we only work with 100% dedicated specialists, who fully understand modern dry cleaning procedures”, adds A. Bostoen.
Rynex CEO Mark R. Grimaldi adds : “The cooperation between both companies has already proven to be successful. Rynex-3E and the Gentle Care Detergents line were submitted for blind field testing in several locations in Europe, with excellent results.”
Christeyns entered the Rynex-3E product under the name of OMD-S02 (or Glycol Ether) in the Solvetex-2 testing program, executed by TKT, the independent Dutch technical knowledge center for the textile care industry. Rynex-3E received the highest marks against all alternative dry cleaning solvents (hydrocarbons, silicone, Solvon K4) and wet cleaning processes in both traditional bath and pulverization methods of dry cleaning. The test results, published this month, show that Rynex-3E cleaned better than the other alternatives and were equal to perchloroethylene's results in spot removal and overall cleaning. The testing took place over a 2 month period and was confirmed by the Comité International de L’Entretien du Textile (International Committee of Textile Care) in March of this year.
According to Marty Brucato, European Project Manager for Rynex, the Solvetex-2 data confirms earlier testing results from Germany's Krefeld Institute and is expected to be confirmed a third time by the CTTN, the national testing entity for textile care products, machines and technologies in France.
Rynex-3E and the Gentle Care Detergents line from Christeyns will be available throughout Europe as of the second half of 2011.
